Contacts & FAQ
Q Are there plenty of ATM's? A Yes, these are plentiful nowadays.  Almost all banks offer the service and there are terminals in all the major shopping areas.  The official currency is now the Euro. Q Is there a local shop / supermarket nearby? A Yes, there is a mini supermarket which sells a wide variety of essential items items at the top of the street and the tourist area of Kato Paphos can supply pretty much anything you might need. Q Do most of the locals speak English? A Yes, English is widely spoken in tourist areas. Q Will my mobile phone work in Cyprus? A Mobiles are far more common than landlines in Cyprus.  Almost all modern phones will operate with no problem, however you will need to have ‘international roaming’ switched on by your provider before you leave the UK. If in doubt check with your network. Q How will we obtain keys to enter the house? A These are sent to you by recorded post about 2 weeks before your departure.  There is a £50 key deposit, which is, of course, fully refunded on return.
